Nuclear Electronics
and Automatic Means Department
(Head – Dr.Sci. A. P.

Main directions of scientific activity:
-
Analysis and working out methods as well as measures to
collect, acquisition and process the nuclear-physic experimental data.
-
Nuclear-electronic equipment development and creating on its
basis systems for experimental investigations automation by means of the
nuclear-physic devices of the Institute.
-
Designing the specific software necessary for automatic
systems used in nuclear-physic experiments.
-
Designing the specific software used for data processing and
theoretical calculations of the nuclear physics.
-
Elaboration and analysis of the methods and measures to
increase effectiveness of mono-channel networks functionality.
-
Scientific and technical support of experiments made by means
of nuclear-physic devices of the Institute.
-
Development and using the Institute local area network.
The most important scientific results:
-
New nuclear-electronic devices were planed and fabricated
using the modern circuit technology including spectrometric analog-digital
converters, a spectrometric booster and an autonomous patent radiometer with
a memory for environmental monitoring.
-
There were developed new generation automatic measuring
systems used for multi-parametrical correlative measuring at the U-120
cyclotron as well as for multi-parametrical polarized experiments, research
oriented dependences of some ions passing through thin mono-crystals in
tandem-type EGP-10 booster and for neutron research at the WWR-M-type
reactor and “Ukryttya-2” object by means of personal computers and network
technologies.
-
There was elaborated a software to calculate reactions having
exotica and hyper cores, as well as for topographical data analysis and
models of “Ukryttya-1” and “Ukryttya-2” objects.
-
Local area network of the Institute (including its parts at
the computer centers of the nuclear-physic objects) working as
programming-information environment for nuclear-physic researches was
developed. The local area network is already integrated into the global
Internet network.
-
There were investigated and developed some new architectural
elements to increase the mono-channel network’s capacity, in particular, the
analytical model for engineer estimation of segmentation parameters in the
mono-channel network, algorithmic means for priority-driven service support
and a new multi-accessing adaptive protocols class.
